- The private three-day test at the Circuito de Jerez concluded on Wednesday, with Randy De Puniet and Aleix Espargaró the fastest CRTs in the field on their Power Electronics Aspar bike. The Test also saw James Ellison and Danilo Petrucci wrapping up the first test on their respective machines.
- Randy De Puniet continues to lead the MotoGP™ CRT field, while British rider James Ellison made his first laps on the ART prototype of the Paul Bird Racing team on the second day of the private test at Jerez.
- "After what seemed like the longest wait in history, our little girl Alessandra Maria finally arrived on Thursday February 16. Thank you all for the good wishes," the rider wrote in his Repsol blog.

Fun Weekend / Track day
- WHAT IS A TRACK DAY?
It is a fun day where riders of different skill level can enjoy themselves in a safe and controlled environment. - HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE IN A TRACK DAY?
On Saturdays we offer 3 to 4 sessions, which are divided into 3 groups called: fast, intermediate and novice groups and on Sundays 3 sessions (except training) - DO I NEED A SPECIAL BIKE? (TRACK BIKE ONLY?)
No, as long as it is a road worthy motorcycle. - DO I NEED SPECIAL TYRES?
No, we do recommend a soft compound tyre for the fast group rider but new road tyres are acceptable for the groups. - SHOULD I CHANGE THE GEARING?
No, no changes are necessary in order to join motoschool. - DO I NEED TO ADJUST THE SUSPENSION?
No, not necessary but trained instructors can assist at track if you prefer. - DO I NEED SPECIAL CLOTHING?
We do allow jeans in the novice group but in the intermediate and fast group we only allow one or two-piece leathers. Gloves, helmets, boots are compulsory in all groups. - DO YOU ALLOW PILLION RIDING?
Yes, in the novice group only and the pillion must wear proper safety clothing as per rider. - MAY I SHARE A BIKE WITH A FRIEND?
Yes. - WHAT TIME DOES IT START AND FINISH?
Registration from 07h00 and riders briefing at 08h30. Track opens at 09h00 and closes at 17h00. - MAY WE CAMP IN THE PITS?
Yes. Camping is allowed and Phakisa also offers ablution facilities - MAY A BRING A FRIEND ALONG?
Most definitely, we encourage families to come along as we will have a jumping castle at all fun week-ends. Every Saturday night braai in the pits. - ARE THERE ANY RULES? (DO'S AND DON'TS)
Yes. Speeding is not allowed in the pit lane or behind the pits. We also do not allow wheelies, donuts or burn-outs and riders must wear helmets even when they travel slowly at the pit garages. - WILL THERE BE MARSHALLS ON THE TRACK?
Yes our qualified instructors are on the track to assist you at all times. - WILL A PARAMEDIC BE PRESENT?
Yes, at all times. - MAY CHILDREN RIDE ON THE TRACK?
We do allow 125cc motorcycles with riders as young as 10 years of age in the novice group but they are only allowed once they have completed their training course. - IS IT SAFE?
Yes, as long as you abide by the rules. - WHAT IS SCRUTINEERING?
Our qualified instructors will inspect your bike to see if it is track worthy. (tyres and brakes) - WHAT IS RIDERS BRIEIFING?
All students and riders are briefed on rules on and off the track. - DOES MY INSURANCE COVER MY BIKE SHOULD ANYTHING HAPPEN?
Please check with your insurance company prior to the booking. (please explain to your broker it is safety instruction in a controlled environment. - ARE THERE GROUPS / WILL I BE DIVIDED INTO A GROUP? ARE THERE INSTRUCTORS PRESENT
IN THE GROUP?
Yes in each group an instructor will be present to assist you in any way. - DO I NEED A CERTAIN SIZE BIKE?
Minimum requirement is a 125cc. Road bikes only. - DO I NEED A LEARNER'S OR DRIVER'S LICENCE?
No. - WILL MY BIKE BE SAFE IN THE PITS?
Yes, we however do not take responsibility but people do camp in the pits and we have never had any problems. - MAY I USE ALCHOHOL?
No. - MAY I USE TYRE WARMERS?
Yes. - DO I NEED ANY PREVIOUS TRACK EXPERIENCE?
No.
