MotoSchool Rules

MotoSchool Rules
  1. We are here to have a fun week-end on the track, so no unsafe riding will be tolerated. Rules for every class are to be adhered to.
    • Beginner/Novice: Denim/Cordura pants, Cordura/leather jacket, leather gloves, boots, helmet or a one/two piece leather suit. No passing in corners, only on straights with two meter passing distance.
    • Intermediate: One/two piece leather suit. Passing in corner on the outside, before rider in front is committed to apex is allowed. If rider in front is committed to apex (starting to exit and moving outward), rider behind is to fall back. No dive bombing! Safe passing distance is compulsory.
    • Fast: One/two piece leather suit. Passing allowed anywhere, but keep safe passing distance, remember that it is not a race, only a trackday – No Trophies!
  2. Motoschool reserves the right to disqualify a rider without refund who proves to be a safety hazard in the instructor's/safety marshall's opinion.
  3. At registration, you will receive a stamp, stating that you have registered and paid.
  4. Rider's briefing is compulsory and not attending, means not riding.
  5. After attending rider's briefing you will line up and those riders that bear a stamp, will then receive a strap/band to be worn on the right wrist and to be shown to the marshall upon entry to the track. This and your scrutineering sticker provides you entry to the track.
  6. Riders who arrive late, will have to report at registration and read through the rider's briefing and sign it, before receiving his/her strap/band.
  7. Riders who arrive late, will also have to report at registration for scrutineering.
  8. Motorcycles that are not scrutineered, will not be allowed on the track.
  9. Riders will only be allowed to ride in controlled sessions as indicated by your class/group sticker on the bike. Only one sticker on the bike.
  10. Direction in the pit-lane is only from the pit entrance in the direction of the pit exit, riding in the opposite direction will not be tolerated.
  11. Pit-lane speed will be kept under 40km/h.
  12. Helmets will be worn at all times when riding – track, pit-lane and behind the pits.
  13. Riders may not stop on the track. Crashes and breakdowns will be handeled by the marshals. In the event of a breakdown, move as far from the track as possible.
  14. Each session will be indicated by coloured sign by the pit exit onto the track.
  15. Always be alert to the marshall's flags at the pit exit onto the track and the marshall's posts. Here are the different flags used:
    • Green: Track is open, everythingOK.
    • Yellow: Problem on the track, slow down, be cautious, no passing.
    • Red: Serious problem on the track, end of session, slow down, be cautious, no passing, make your way to pit entrance. If problem is resolved and there is time left, the session will continue for the remainder of allocated time.
    • Black: Pointed at a specific rider by the marshall at end of pit straight. End of session for that rider, proceed to pit entrance and report to marshall immediately.
    • Blue: Take no action, just a warning that there is a faster rider behind you, planning to overtake you.
    • Red & Yellow: Change of surface, caution.
    • White: Emergency/recovery vehicle on track, caution.
    • Black with Red dot: Unsporsmanlike behavior. Pointed at a specific rider by the marshall at end of pit straight. End of session for that rider, proceed to pit entrance and report to marshall immediately.
    • Chequered: End of session, no victory laps, just make your way to pit entrance.
  16. No alcohol may be consumed by riders during the event.
  17. When leaving the track to enter pits, the rider must indicate by raising left
  18. Bikes displaying poor handling characteristics will be excluded from the event.
  19. No burn-outs, wheelies, endo's etc will be allowed on the track, in the pits, behind the pits or on the entry roads.
